- Code names - VISOR replaced in 1933 by VIFUR
- Type - VISOR was the first torpedo shaped finder and has frame markings for 3.5, 5, and 13.5 cm lenses
- Evolution - The VISOR was all black; in 1933 the VIFUR was introduced in black or chrome with tilting foot controlled by a lever and graduated drum for parallax compensation. All of the early Leitz torpedo finders have reversed image viewing.
