- Production era - 1960-1962 (less than 250 made)
- Type - Lens turret for three screw lenses with M2 /M3. Camera fitted by a special baseplate; the thumbscrew at the back of the turret when turned to the right unlocked the lens from the camera and turned the turret, when turned to the left it locked the next lens in position.
- Evolution - A similar device had been advertized by Haber and Fink, New York, in 1949, see L.Ph., 1949, 2 No. 7, p 25.
- Accessories - Leitz 'converted' lenses made for easy use with attached lens turret, screw mount Summicron (I) f= 5 cm 1:2 . . . with additional infinity stopping mount (approx. 22mm from infinity position) with special cut-out ITDOO lens hood (cap, filter), screw mount Summaron f= 3.5 cm 1:2.8 . . . with metal focusing handle next to the focusing knob for easier focusing (filter, cap), screw mount 90mm f/4 Elmar . . . with six additional small focusing knob screwed into the focusing ring and one small screw on the aperture ring. -Leica Shop 2015
