The R mount is the mount used for Leicaflexes and R cameras. While the mount remains the same in both cases, the number of cams varies.

Cams

Leicaflexes :

  • 1 cam
  • 2 cams

R :

  • 3 cams
  • 1 cam (also called the R cam; also the lenses are engraved for R only)
  • ROM

R-lens compatibility

It should be noted that an increasing number of R mount lenses are used on Canon EOS and other bodies, through an adapter.
