Leica IIIf red dial with self-timer delay mechanism

Leica IIIf with Summitar f= 5 cm 1:2 lens = LOOKX

Code names - LOOPN = LOOHN + ELMAR, LOOKX = LOOHN + SOORE, LUOOX = LOOHN + SOOIC, LOOIT = LOOHN + SOOIA per Farines List - Note: LOOHW is the code name for the Leica IIIc body as well as IIIf depending on the date of the catalog: Leica IIIc < 1951 > Leica IIIf. As a further complication, LOOHW was also used for "30x slip-on magnifier for focusing stage" in the Leica 1984 Accessory Guide.
Production era - 1950-1957; 184,100 cameras
Evolution - Flash synchronization ring added below the shutter speed knob
Variants - Black dial (BD), red dial (RD), self-timer "Vorlauf", black arctic (BA), Esercito Italiano (EI) and Canadian ELC versions; black dial has 1/60, 1/40, 1/30, 1/4 speeds; red dial has 1/75, 1/50, 1/25, 1/5 speeds
Body - aluminum with chrome plated brass top housing, base plate and knobs
Size L x W x H - 136 x 39 x 65 mm / 5.35 x 1.54 x 2.60 in
