  • Production era - 1932-1936
  • Code names - VISAX replaced in 1933 by VIZWO
  • Type - Small, torpedo shaped finder for 3.5 cm, 5 cm and 9 cm lenses
  • Evolution - The VISAX was all black; in 1933 the VIZWO was introduced in black or chrome with tilting foot controlled by a lever and graduated drum for parallax compensation. All of the early Leitz torpedo finders have reversed image viewing.
