  • Evolution
    • ELPRO and related lenses, originating about 1931, were used for close-up photography known as No. 1 for 5cm Elmar lenses used with a BEHOO type copy stand. Because the copy stand is attached to the leading edge of the lens it can be rotated with the camera when taking a picture. From the 1933 catalog :
      • Object size - 21 x 31cm to 42 x 63cm
      • Distance to camera - 55 to 100cm
    • No. 2 - ELPIK
      • Object size - 14 x 20.5cm to 21.5 x 32cm
      • Distance to camera - 29 to 55cm
    • No. 3 - ELPET
      • Object size - 8.4 x 12.5cm to 10.7 x 16.1cm
      • Distance to camera - 26 to 31cm
