Talk:SF 24D
The LEICA SF 24D electronic flash unit is designed to be compact, but also to provide the maximum distance between the flash reflector and the camera lens, which minimizes the risk of red eye when photographing people and animals when off-camera flash is inconvenient or impossible. The LEICA SF 24D with a metric guide number of 24 (at ISO 100) is used whenever maximum freedom of operation and top performance in flash photography with the LEICA DIGILUX 2 are needed. As with the integral flash unit, the LEICA DIGILUX 2 also regulates the necessary output tha attached LEICA SF 24D automatically based on subject parameters. The illumination angle corresponds to a focal length range of 35 to 85 mm in the 35 mm format and can be extended by means of two supplied diffusers, enabling precise flash operation across the entire focal length range of the LEICA DIGILUX 2. Power is supplied by two 3 Volt 123 A lithium batteries that provide rapid flash recycling
