• From 1990 member of the scientific staff at the Krupp Research Institute in Essen; design of Holographic Optical Elements (HOE)
• From 1995 lens designer at Leica Camera AG; design of photographic lenses; further development of the in-house lens design software
• From April 1999 to June 2002 head of department of optical design and mechanical design of photographic lenses at Leica Camera AG
