Revision as of 16:55, 1 March 2012

Son of Ernst Leitz II, he was know as Ludwig Leitz II (1907–1992) named after his father's elder brother Ludwig Leitz I ( who had passed away in 1898). Ludwig II was the designer (with Wilhelm Stein) of the rangefinder for the M3. Along with his brothers, Ernst III (1906-1979) and Günther (1914-1969), Ludwig was co-owner of Leitz from 1956 to 1974.
