  • Manufacturer's discription
This Underwater Housing from Ikelite is a waterproof case enabling you to shoot beneath the water's surface with your Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX7 or Leica D-Lux 6 digital camera. It has a depth rating of 200'. The housing provides access to all camera functions, except for the Aspect Ratio Selector switch, Flash Open switch and ND/FOCUS lever. The camera's built-in flash is usable. The case is constructed from durable polycarbonate and acrylic, and is clear to enable you to monitor the O-ring seal. Housing buoyancy is nearly neutral in freshwater.
You can attach optional external 67mm lenses, including the W-30 0.59x Wide Angle Lens, to the housing's built-in flat glass lens port. The wide-angle lens will increase your angle of coverage, allowing you to get close to your subject while fitting more in the frame, and will also cut down on distortion. To restore colors that get absorbed underwater, especially reds and oranges, you can use optional external color correction filters for blue or green water (without a strobe).
The housing has circuitry enabling you to trigger an optional Ikelite DS Substrobe in automatic exposure mode--without firing the camera's built-in flash. This helps save battery life, speed up recycling time, and eliminate backscatter. To soften the light of the camera's built-in flash, use the included diffuser. To block and redirect the light of the camera's flash towards an external strobe, use the included deflector. The housing is equipped with a 12-24 thread for mounting an optional aluminum tray with single or dual handles. This would provide attachment points for lighting arms, allowing you to use a strobe or a constant light like the optional PRO-V8 LED video light.
