- Production era - 1932-1933
- Code names - VISET (Rogliatti & Laney) and VISIL (Nakagawa & Lager)
- Type - Early torpedo type viewfinder for the focal lengths 3.5, 5, 9 and 13.5 cm
- Evolution - The VISET was all black; about 1933 the VISIL was introduced in black and chrome with tilting foot controlled by a lever and graduated drum for parallax compensation. All of the early Leitz torpedo finders have reversed image viewing.
